Jack Bushell is an award-winning producer and director. Bushell has produced, directed and shot films, music videos and commercials, which have received VOD releases on Netflix, iTunes, Youtube, Google Play, and Vimeo on Demand. His films have screened at film festivals throughout the world, as well as been featured on news stations such as Good Morning America, KTVU, NBC Bay Area, and ABC. Bushell has accepted an award from Cliff Bar and received the Outstanding Cinematic Achievement award from Stanley Nelson – one of the prominent documentary filmmakers of our time.

Bushell’s first film, which he produced and directed, was the 37 minute documentary, “From the Golden Gate to the Farallones”. The film chronicles Simon Dominguez's historic swim from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Farallon Islands. The story was covered by news agencies such as NPR, The Independent, and The New York Times, and showcased in film festivals worldwide.

Bushell was the cinematographer on the film “A Normal Life” which has also been showcased in film festivals worldwide, including the Heartland Film Festival and the Knoxville Film Festival, where it won 3rd place as a narrative feature. In 2018, the film recently secured a distribution deal with Indie Rights, with a VOD release on Amazon, iTunes, and Tubi, as well as a limited theatrical release at the Arena Cinelounge in Hollywood from March 23-29. It will subsequently be reviewed by a top critic from the Los Angeles Times.

In 2018, Bushell co-directed and shot the documentary “Jormundur”. The documentary won the award for Best Icelandic Short at the Reykjavík International Film Festival. The jury called it "a beautiful, reverent ode to an interesting subject". The film made its domestic release at Tallgrass International Film Festival.

Bushell graduated from Emerson College where he received a BA in film directing, writing, and producing.  While at Emerson he produced and directed a trilogy of Boston aerial videos showcasing the city, which received over 2 million views and was featured on news agencies including, but not limited to,  Boston.com, Boston Magazine, and Right This Minute.

Bushell went on to be a director and producer at a leading creative agency out of San Francisco, Glass and Marker, where his focus was on commercial and advertising content for brands such as Casper, WeWork, Avast, Revolve, and Clear - to name a few.

Currently, Bushell is based out of Los Angeles and has co-founded the full service commercial production company, Wicked Grit, Inc.
